Bead Soup Blog Hop

imageimageimage Today is reveal day, I can’t wait to see what my partner Cris Peacock made with her soup along with what everyone else has made.  I really had a lot of fun with mine and had a few challenges along the way.  I got three pieces of jewelry that I really like and have beads left to make earrings but since I don’t wear them I decided to wait on that.

I first made the necklace using that neat little birdnest. I wouldn’t normally mix gold in my pieces but I decided to give it a try and love how it turned out.

Next I wanted to try a multilayered bracelet. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to get three pieces all the same length but eventually I got there.

I liked the look of the first bracelet so decided I would make another one but first I decided to patina my chain, then I had some little copper tubes that I had cut but I thought they needed a bit of color so I patinaed them  too. Since I made wired segments with my beads this one don’t  lay quite as good as the first one so I may have to redo it.

Be sure to check how Cris used her bead soup from me here: http://crispart.blogspot.com/  and you can also check out her Etsy shop here: http://crispart.etsy.com/

I want to thank Lori for hosting the hop again this year and I want to also thank Cris for being my partner and sending me a beautiful soup to work with. Have fun hoping. Beautiful!!! I just love your necklace! I’ve used so many of those same pieces over the years since they are my favorites and I am so impressed with the lovely way you put it together! Completely different than anything I would have thought of 🙂 And both of your bracelets are spectacular! Thanks for being my partner 🙂 Cheers!

Ahaha, you made nests too ! Yours are a lot less messy than mine, though. The tree branch is such an adorable touch ! And multi-strand bracelets are a pain, arn’t they ? But they come out so lovely !
