Get Ready For the Bead Soup Blog Party

I decided to join Lori Andersons blog hop this year again. She is doing it a little differently this year in that we had to send our partner a bead that we had hoarded. I thought that should be easy but after I picked the bead I was going to send and put my soup together I kind of wanted to make something myself but I decided to send it anyway. It’s not like I don’t have a couple more hoarded beads around.

Andrew Thorntons Dreaming Tree Challenge

I’ve had a crazy month but will show what I’ve completed with the kit. I learnt how to do some etching with an engraver in a jewelry class and even though my etching still needs lots of work I decided to incorporate it into this bracelet.  My next piece is still a work in progress but this is what I have going so far. I would like to make my own chain to make a necklace but the pendant alone took me way longer than I thought.

Thanks again Andy for a great challenge and wonderful beads.

Bead Soup coming up soon!

imageI signed up for the Bead Soup Blog hop again this year and it’s coming up on May 10th. Lori Anderson is our hostess and always does an awesome job of getting everything organized. This is her blog if you would like to read more about it.

My partner is from HI and her name is Cris Peacock and she sent me an awesome soup in a really neat little bag. This is her blog: She made the neat little bird nest focal for me and I really love it. Come back soon to see what I have made with the soup that she sent me!image
